Brad Hogg: India’s Indian Premier League (IPL) has changed the lives of many cricketers, both at the personal and professional levels, whether they are Indian or international players, everyone’s stars have shone by playing in this league. Now IPL has become the favorite franchise league of cricketers around the world, and everyone wants to be a part of this T20 league of India because of its exposure, big stage, and huge money.

Now just a few days are left for the players auction for IPL 2023. The mini auction of IPL 2023 will be held in Kochi on 23 December. But meanwhile, former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg has given a controversial statement regarding IPL and young cricketers. What is the point of the former Australia player that the current generation of young cricketers are not like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. For this he has blamed IPL.
Brad Hogg gave a big statement regarding IPL

Brad Hogg, who has played 7 Tests, 124 ODIs and 15 T20 Internationals for Australia, said, “I think the IPL is affecting Indian cricket, as young players coming through the system are more interested in playing T20 IPL cricket. Are focusing. Because there’s probably a bit more money in it, it’s a shorter format, it’s quicker and you can finish games quicker.”

He further added, “When they focus on that T20 cricket scenario, they do not focus on the longer formats. They don’t know how bowlers set up batsmen to take wickets and how batsmen build their innings to bat for long periods of time. These are not the generations who are currently playing international cricket like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. It is the young players who are just making their debut for India who are most affected by it.
